Show HN: Discover your true MBTI by having your friends take the test for you

I’ve taken a bunch of personality tests over the years, but I keep getting different results every time. It got me thinking – what’s a better (and more fun) way to really figure out who I am?

Then I had an idea: wouldn’t it be way more accurate if the people who actually know me took the test for me? They probably see things about me that I might not notice.

So, I created truembti.com – a website where your friends take the test for you, and you take it for them. I hope it’s a fun way to discover your personality type and have a good time with your friends in the process.

P.S. I used Cursor to build the site, and it was a game-changer. It wrote over 90% of the code – highly recommend!

I wanted to improve my communications. I took a class in Coursera, and it had a test. I did the test myself, and then asked a friend to do the test exactly like this (as if it was me). I also asked him to NOT be nice and/or diplomatic (truth-beauty-goodness <--just pick truth). We got very close marks, which meant that a) I know myself pretty OK, b) my friend has identified me well/hasn't misunderstood my intentions in life, etc. c) I'm an asshole :) (on the truth-beauty-goodness, I go 100% truth).

In a tangent of that tangent, I was listening to a podcast, and someone said something along the lines of: "love is when you want the other person to end up in Heaven". For me, truth is the path. Beauty with lies, and goodness with lies are the short-way-home.
