Show HN: FixYou – AI tool that tells you which cancer screenings you need

The USPSTF and ACS publish thorough cancer screening guidelines, but they're dense and scattered across dozens of pages. What you actually need depends on your age, sex, family history, smoking status, and other factors. Most people, including me until recently, simply don't know what they should be getting checked for.

I built FixYou after losing my grandfather to colon cancer that was caught too late. After his diagnosis, my parents went for colonoscopies and found polyps, early and treatable. We didn't lack access to healthcare. We lacked clarity.

FixYou is a free tool that: 1. Walks you through a short AI conversation about your health profile 2. Cross-references your answers against current USPSTF and ACS screening guidelines 3. Gives you a "Shield Score" (0 to 100) and a prioritized list of screenings to schedule

The goal isn't to replace your doctor. It's to prepare you for the conversation, and to be the nudge that gets you to actually book that colonoscopy or mammogram you've been putting off.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, which felt like the right time to share this.

Would love feedback on the scoring logic, the screening recommendations, or anything else. Happy to answer questions about the approach.
